SHREK 5 May Be On The Horizon

By Amirose Eisenbach February 26, 2014

Who didn't adore the lovable green ogre with the heart of gold and his fun wisecracking buddies, the donkey and cat? Luckily for us, another "Shrek" film may soon be in the works, friends.

There have been four films to date and all have been very successful. The most recent was in 2010 titled "Shrek Forever After". There was also a very adorable spinoff "Puss and Boots" film, a musical and soon an attraction opening in London next year.

According to Jeffrey Katzenberg, the CEO of DreamWorks Animation, "We like to let them have a little bit of time to rest. But I think you can be confident that we’ll have another chapter in the Shrek series. We’re not finished, and more importantly, neither is he."

The ogre was voiced by Mike Myers and his donkey sidekick was voiced by Eddie Murphy. Shrek's bride was voiced by Cameron Diaz, the sassy cat was brought to life by Antonio Banderas and many other familiar vocal talents were featured in the films.
