Director Adam McKay Says ANCHORMAN 3 Is Not Happening

Seeing the wonderful News Team reunite with Ron Burgundy at the helm in "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues", certainly put a smile on a lot of faces. If you were hoping for an "Anchorman 3" however, or a "Step Brothers 2" for that matter, you're sadly in for some disappointment my friends.

In a recent interview, director Adam McKay stated, "It's done. I think that's it. It was great to do it and it was so fun to work with those guys again, but I think that's it for Ron Burgundy. No, that's the last sequel we're gonna do. There's nothing more fun to me than new characters and a new world. And now we're releasing this alt version, we're totally satisfied. No Anchorman 3."

Of course we like revisiting some of our favorite characters again but I certainly respect and appreciate what McKay said and what he's trying to do. We always complain about a shortage of original ideas in Hollywood, so it's refreshing to hear a director with a successful track record share similar sentiments. Not to mention, we'll still get many of the same crew, just exploring different and fresh characters.
