The final trailer has been released for Marc Webb's "The Amazing Spider-Man 2". In this trailer, which is supposed to leave our appetites wet until the big May 2nd release, shows us some new images that haven't been recycled in previous trailers before.
We see more of Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn, and his eventual fate starting to take place when he takes over for his father Norman (Chris Cooper) as the new Green Goblin. We also see the team-up start to occur between Electro (Jamie Foxx), in all his glowing luminosity, and Harry, and their plotting against Spider-Man. We've been told The Rhino (Paul Giamatti) will only be in the film for about 4 minutes total, and we saw about :10 of that already.
Electro is being set up to be the main villain in the film, with Harry as the Green Goblin joining in on his fun. Since The Rhino has such a limited appearance in this one, I would imagine it's more of a lead up to have a bigger presence in the third installment.
The humor and grounded nature that we've seen in all the other materials up to this point are still very much intact. A big focus will still be on Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) and Gwen Stacy's (Emma Stone) relationship, which is one of the most tragically beautiful and most complicated ones within the comic-book universe.
