Five Actors Being Considered For Lead Role in STAR WARS: EPISODE VII

By Amirose Eisenbach March 13, 2014

It seems like everyday we have a new casting rumor for J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII". Adam Driver is almost locked to be the main villain and now we have a new update on who may play the main protagonist.

It's being reportedly that the list is now down to just five names, which include Ed Speleers, John Boyega, Jesse Plemons, Matthew James Thomas and Ray Fisher.

These are all unconventional choices and you may not even recognize all, if any, of them. Speleers has been starring in "Downton Abbey", while Plemons turned heads on "Breaking Bad". Boyega made an impression in his work in "Attack the Block". Thomas and Fisher are theater actors trying to make the switch to the big-screen.

It is still unknown if these five names are truly the only names being considered at this point but the role they are up for is said to be that of a Jedi apprentice. An important and incredible role, no doubt.

Out of all these actors, who would you like to see star in the film? Let us know in the comments section below!

"Star Wars: Episode VII" will hit AMC Theatres on December 18th, 2015
