Director James Mangold Confirms WOLVERINE 3

By Amirose Eisenbach March 18, 2014

Critics and fans alike were very disappointed in Gavin Hood's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine". That is putting it very nicely, in fact. Reviews were much more positive overall however, for James Mangold's recent standalone film "The Wolverine". Now it appears that we may see a third installment with Mangold back at the helm.

In a recent twitter post, according to the director himself, he stated, "We are figuring it all out. At the moment, I'm shooting The next "Wolverine" after #XMenApocalypse".

The upcoming "X-Men: Days of Future Past" will mark the seventh time Hugh Jackman has reprised the character. He recently stated in an interview that the recasting of Wolverine is "inevitable". Fans wonder if this will be after the third standalone film however, as he has not been officially confirmed at this time. Jackman has never been better as the character as he was in Mangold's film, so maybe he wants to go out on a high note with one more solid collaboration between them.
