Rooney Mara in Talks to Play Tiger Lily in Joe Wright's PAN

Another adaptation of the classic story Peter Pan is on the way with Joe Wright at the helm. We heard word of Hugh Jackman being cast as Blackbeard and Garrett Hedlund taking on the infamous role of Hook in "Pan". Now it's being reported that Rooney Mara is in talks to play Princess Tiger Lily.

The character has always been depicted as Native American but apparently this story is going to be changed in many of ways. According to Variety, "the world being created is multi-racial/international" and that this Tiger Lily is "a very different character than previously imagined."

We have our main antagonists and the Princess but Peter himself is still yet to be found. The production is said to be looking for an actor 10-12 years old for that part.

Mara is definitely a quality actress as seen in such films as "The Social Network", "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo", and most recently "Her".  Regardless of where you stand on changing this character's identity, Mara at least has talent.
