Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly Reuniting for BORDER GUARDS

By Amirose Eisenbach April 16, 2014

The comedic duo of Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are teaming up again for a new set of characters in "Border Guards". British comedy writer Jesse Armstrong ("Peep Show") has been hired to pen the screenplay and Adam McKay is expected to direct.

McKay is of course responsible for bringing some of the best characters from this comedy troupe to the big-screen. Such gems include both "Anchorman" films, and the two films that showed us that Ferrell and Reilly have great chemistry, "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" and "Step Brothers".

McKay warned us that there would be no more sequels or trilogies to the pre-existing characters he's helped create and that he felt it was more fun to introduce new ones, so he's definitely upholding that promise. The new film is about, "two hapless but earnest friends who decide to give purpose to their lives by protecting America’s borders from illegal immigrants. In the process they find themselves accidentally stranded in Mexico without identification and must sneak back into the USA."
