We've known very little about the next mysterious Christopher Nolan project "Interstellar" and now the first official trailer has been released. While we still don't have a ton of answers, we do have a bit more of an idea as to the way the story will progress in terms of a timeline.
The basic premise presented in the trailer is that mankind has run out of food and they must turn to the solar system in an attempt to save themselves. From a previous reveal, we also know that it will center on a group of explorers that travel through a wormhole and into another dimension. It is said to be based on scientific theory developed by Caltech physicist Kip Thorne.
Some stunning visuals and a ton more questions are what we are left with from the trailer. True to the Nolan way, he's going to keep releasing just enough to keep our appetites wet but not enough for us to fully grasp the full context of the story.
Matthew McConaughey, continuing his extraordinary year, stars as the main protagonist of the film. An incredible ensemble supports him including Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck, Topher Grace, Ellen Burstyn, Michael Caine and Matt Damon.
