The exhilarating "Edge of Tomorrow", which just opened in AMC Theatres this passed weekend, reminded us just how good of an action star Tom Cruise is. We're certainly not mad about him returning for "Mission: Impossible 5" and now another actor from the last film has been confirmed to return as well. Jeremy Renner will be reprising his role of William Brandt.
Simon Pegg is also returning, who has become a series regular. The three actors worked together on the last installment "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol", along with female lead Paula Patton, who has not been confirmed to return as Jane Carter at the moment. Brad Bird directed that film and it was met with very positive reviews and racked up over $694 million at the worldwide box office.
Christopher McQuarrie will direct this one, who has become a frequent collaborator with Cruise lately. He co-wrote "Edge of Tomorrow", which I can't say enough positive things about, and he also directed him in "Jack Reacher".
Are you glad Renner is returning? Let us know in the comments section below!
"Mission: Impossible 5" will hit AMC Theatres on December 25, 2015
