We've seen a standalone Edward Norton "Hulk" movie. We've seen a standalone Eric Bana "Hulk" movie. Yet we haven't even seen a glimmer of hope that we could see a standalone Mark Ruffalo "Hulk" movie in the not-too-distant future. That is, until now.
On the prospect, Ruffalo stated, "It was basically ‘No!", but "now there is some consideration for it." However, he was quick to clarify, "But there’s still nothing definitive, not even a skeletal version of what it would be. I look forward to going down that road, if we could crack that nut. I think obviously the Banner/Hulk storyline is not an easy nut to crack."
Ruffalo brings so much depth and range to Bruce Banner, that exploring a storyline with him as the main character feels like a no-brainer great idea. Especially given the heat of Marvel films and comic-book films right now in general, it seems like there's no time like the present to give the famous green monster another time in the spotlight. Fans would love to see such fantastic storylines as "Planet Hulk" or "World War Hulk" explored.
Ruffalo will next been seen as the character in Joss Whedon's sequel "Avengers: Age of Ultron". The film is currently in production in London.
