It's been seven years since Amy Adams sang and portrayed princess Giselle in Disney's "Enchanted". The film racked up a solid $340 million worldwide and now a sequel has been announced.
In addition to Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, Idina Menzel and Susan Sarandon starred in the picture. There is no word yet on if Adams or any rest of the original cast will return.
Kevin Lima directed the original 2007 family-friendly film and this time Anne Fletcher will be at the helm. She is known for bringing us some quirky comedies like "The Proposal" and "The Guilt Trip". David N. Weiss and J. David Stem from "Shrek 2" are penning the script.
Adams has had some incredible years since 2007, receiving acclaim for such films as "The Fighter" in 2010 and the more recent "American Hustle". It will be interesting to see if she does in fact come back. I imagine it was a very fun role to play and it could be a nice break from the more dramatic roles she's been taking on lately.
