First Trailer Released for Ridley Scott's EXODUS: GODS AND KINGS

The first trailer for the upcoming Ridley Scott film "Exodus: Gods and Kings" has just been released online. The film stars Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton, Aaron Paul, John Turturro, Sigourney Weaver and Ben Kingsley.

The trailer is beautifully shot, showing an elaborate world that Scott and team have created. Focusing on the story of one man’s daring courage to take on the might of an empire, the film follows a defiant leader Moses (Bale) as he rises up against the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses (Edgerton), setting 600,000 slaves on a monumental journey of escape from Egypt and its terrifying cycle of deadly plagues.

Scott brought us "Gladiator", arguably one of the best and most epic films set within that time period, so he is certainly well equipped for this one. He is definitely in need of another hit however, following the mixed reviews of "Prometheus" and the incredibly negative sentiments surroudning "The Counselor".

With Scott going back to his wheelhouse, armed with the incredible cast, and following the success of Daren Aronofsky's other biblical epic "Noah", "Exodus: Gods and Kings" has all the elements intact to be amazing. If the first trailer is any indication, we are in for a memorable adventure.
