Unless you had prior knowledge that it was an actual novel, you would think that a "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" book was a joke. But it's not, my friends, and it's being reported that it's still moving forward to be adapted into a film.

The latest report states that Lily James has replaces Lily Collins in the title role of Elizabeth Bennet and Sam Riley will portray Mr. Darcy.  Jack Huston and Bella Heathcote are also rumored to be joining the project. It is unknown at this time who Huston would play but it's believed Heathcote would play one of Elizabeth's sisters.

"Igby Goes Down" director Burr Steers is helming the parody, that is scheduled to begin production in September. Natalie Portman is on as a producer and David O. Russell wrote the original screenplay, which has since been reworked by Steers.

If you took a guess what the book is about purely going by the title, you would be completely right. It takes the world-renowned 1813 Jane Austen novel and adds a zombie apocalypse in the background. It sounds so ridiculous and obscure, it may be quite amazing.
