Will Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye Appear in CAPTAIN AMERICA 3?

By Amirose Eisenbach August 26, 2014

Between "The Avengers", "The Bourne Legacy" and "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol", Jeremy Renner has definitely proven he's a solid action star. Many feel that due to the storyline that Joss Whedon used for "The Avengers", that Hawkeye was underutilized. He was working for the dark side after all, by way of mind control. We may soon get to see him return to the big-screen as the character however, sooner than later.

In a recent interview, Renner said, "There are rumblings of Captain America 3. I don’t know what’s going to happen there. I’ve got to find the time, man (laughs). I’m trying to stay home and I can’t."

Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow partnered with Chris Evans' Captain America in the Russo Bros. fantastic "Winter Solider" sequel. That odd-couple partnership worked masterfully well and the addition of Hawkeye would also be a welcome change. Or would Hawkeye be replacing ScarJo's character?

Hawkeye and Widow are merely mortals with amazing skills and Captain America, while he is still a super soldier with modified strength and such, does not have the same kind of powers as Thor, Hulk, etc, so the playing field to have these three characters in one film, would be much more level. That is personally a second sequel that I would like to see.
