Daniel Radcliffe is certainly taking good steps to get away from the "Harry Potter" image. He recently starred in a quirky romantic comedy called "What If", will soon be seen in the edgier "Horns" and now word of his next potential project has surfaced.
Radcliffe is in negotiations to join "Now You See Me 2". The original magician heist film racked up an impressive $351.7 million worldwide, so a sequel is not surprising. Louis Leterier helmed that production but this time around, Jon M. Chu ("G.I. Joe: Retaliation") is directing it.
The original film starred Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Morgan Freeman, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco and Michael Caine, who are all returning for the sequel. If signed on, Radcliffe will play Caine's son.
I personally really enjoyed the first film. It was a fun time, illuminated by a glossy production and you could really feel the love of everyone involved. It will be interesting to see the kind of energy Radcliffe would add to the picture if locked in.
