Two new trailers have been released for films we've been anticipating. First up, is the debut trailer for Colin Trevorrow's "Jurassic World". We also got the first trailer for Joe Wright's new take on the classic story, "Pan".
In this new chapter of our beloved dino-series, Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson lead the pack. A new genetically engineered dinosaur has been created and as expected, something goes horribly wrong as it wreaks havoc on the park. The trailer was beautifully shot and I'm immediately in because I love the franchise so much but some of the dialogue and CGI were not exactly impressive to me. Still hopeful it will be fun, perhaps my expectations were just too high.
Joe Wright's "Pan" trailer was very reminiscent of "Hook", starring the late and great Robin Williams. Very colorful, fun and youthful feeling, with elaborate and intricate set pieces. Hugh Jackman plays the villain Blackbeard, Garrett Hedlund is portraying a younger Hook and Rooney Mara is playing Tiger Lily.
Two new modern installments to add to our childhood memories. Both Trevorrow and Wright are exciting directors. Hopefully both productions will be a fun, cinematic experience.
