AMCi: Sundance Film Festival Competition Films Announced

The films selected for the U.S. Competition, World Competition and NEXT categories at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival have been announced.

Over 12,000 films were submitted for selection, and among the 16 narrative films chosen for the U.S. Dramatic Competition include films by Craig Zobel (‘Compliance’) and Kyle Patrick Alvarez (‘C.O.G.’) and well-known actors including Chris Pine, Margot Robbie and Chiwetel Ejiofor in ‘Z For Zachariah’, Jack Black in ‘The D Train’, Jason Schwartzman in ‘The Overnight’, and Colbie Smudlers in two films, ‘Results’ and ‘Unexpected’.

In the World Competition, we’ll see Michael Fassbender in the New Zealand drama ‘Slow West’, and Nicole Kidman in the Australian movie ‘Strangerland’, which will play on the festival’s opening day.

The Sundance Film Festival will be held in Park City, Utah between January 22 and February 1, 2015.
