You don't have to be a comic-book fan to be excited for Warner Bros.' "Suicide Squad". The cast is already insane and now they are apparently in negotiations to add yet another extreme talent to the mix, in the form of Viola Davis.
If locked, Davis will play Amanda Waller, the government agent who's in charge of the troop of super-villains. Waller is supposed to be tough and ice-cold, which will be a very fun thing to watch Davis tackle. Other names that have been rumored for this role have included Octavia Spencer and Oprah Winfrey. All of this talented women would have brought something very different to the character.
If you need a refresher on the incredible cast, it includes Tom Hardy as Rick Flag, Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Cara Delevinge as Enchantress, and Jared Leto as The Joker.
David Ayer, coming off his WWII drama "Fury", is at the helm for this one. Production is said to kick-off in April. WB has finally become aggressive with their DC film adaptations slate and this is shaping up to be one of the most exciting ones if you ask me.
