AMCi: Reese Witherspoon To Re-Team With Alexander Payne

By Alicia Malone January 8, 2015

Back in 1999, director Alexander Payne and star Reese Witherspoon made a splash on the indie scene with their biting satire “Election”. Now, 16 years later, the two indie favorites will be working together again.

Fresh off her indie hit “Wild”, Reese Witherspoon has signed on to star in Payne’s “Downsizing”, alongside Matt Damon. Not much is known about the plot at this stage, other than it involves a man who thinks his life would be better if he shrunk himself. Sounds a little “Ant-Man”! The script was written by Alexander Payne and Jim Taylor, with whom he shared the Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar with for “Sideways”.

What do you think about the sounds of “Downsizing”? Let us know in the comments below!
