The lovely Felicity Jones may be the next star to join our favorite galaxy far, far away. It's being reported that she is in talks to lead Gareth Edwards' "Star Wars" stand-alone film, in a script written by Chris Weitz.
True to any details within this galaxy, we know next to nothing about the role or what characters the film will be centered around. There has been much speculation about some of our favorite, classic characters serving as the centerfold but until it's been confirmed, it is purely just chatter.
Jones is coming off her Oscar-nominated performance in "The Theory of Everything". She has shined in such indie charmers as "Like Crazy" and briefly appeared in the less-spectacular "The Amazing Spider-Man 2". But Jones certainly has something special. She's beautiful, classy, well-spoken and has perfected that balance of being vulnerable yet strong.
Other females who have reportedly met for the part include Rooney Mara and Tatiana Maslany. Aaron Paul and Edgar Ramirez are also said to be in talks for the male lead.
A release date of December 16th, 2016 has been set for the film. Plenty of time to iron out the details and we do have just a little film called "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" to tide us over in the meantime.
