The film centers on the life of singer Bobby Darin. Born Walden Robert Cassotto, the future Mr. Darin saw his heart damaged by rheumatic fever at an early age. But his mother, Polly (Brenda Blethyn), introduced him to music and the rest is history. Kate Bosworth co-stars as Darin's wife, Sandra Dee.
