Country of Blind

Adapted from H.G. Wells 'The Country of the Blind'. The story, set in 18th century in Himalayas of India, is about a mountaineer named Abhimanyu who while guiding a group of European mountaineers for climbing an unconquered mountain, slips from a cliff and falls a thousand feet down. He is considered dead by the group but he survives and lands into a strange valley, a place where all the inhabitants are blind since generations and they do not have any idea about vision, In the country of blind, a man with eyes with a belief of superiority fails to prove his mettle and is considered disabled? The story touches many socio-economic issues through the journey of Abhimanyu in a symbolic manner.
