Preoccupied, Max leaves for his house on the seaside to decompress. His friends, whom he hasn't seen for more than three years, show up by surprise to celebrate his birthday. The surprise is real, but the welcome they receive is much smaller. Max then settles for fictitious happiness, which places group members in unexpected situations. As children have grown, others are born, and parents no longer have the same priorities... The breakups, the setbacks of life... When deep scars are no longer mended, what is left of friendship?
