Jane Fonda stars as Kimberly Wells, a TV news reporter. While she is doing a human interest story at the Ventana nuclear power plant, she witnesses what may be a near nuclear disaster. This event is filmed without the knowledge of the employees at the nuclear plant. Kimberly is unable to show this footage, because the station may be exposed to liability issues. Eventually Kimberly works with the plant supervisor played by Jack Lemmon to bring this story to the public. (temp)
