Benjamin Braddock is a rather unwilling guest of honor at a party thrown by his proud parents to celebrate his graduation from college. But the phoniness of his parents' world overwhelms him and he flees--straight into trouble. Mrs. Robinson, wife of his father's law partner, has designs on young Ben. After a couple of false starts, they begin a clandestine affair, which falls apart when Benjamin meets her daughter Elaine. The two fall madly in love, but Elaine's parents conspire against them.
