AMC Entertainment Visa Card

The AMC Entertainment Visa® credit card is regrettably coming to an end because our card issuer was just recently acquired. As a result of that ownership transition, they informed us that they are no longer able to continue our co-branded credit card program.

Please rest assured that any AMC Stubs® points and rewards you’ve earned through card purchases will be placed in (or remain in) your AMC Stubs account and can be redeemed as you would normally be entitled to do.

AMC Entertainment Visa Credit Card FAQs:

  • Final purchase date: As of August 27, 2025, the AMC Entertainment Visa card will no longer work for purchases. Cardholders will need to update any automatic payments linked to their card before then to avoid disruptions. Note: If the card was issued to New York, the account will close 45 days after the date of this notice, and for California, the account will close 30 days after the date of this notice.

  • Credit reporting: The account will be reported to credit bureaus as "closed by issuer", which is standard for discontinued programs and will not reflect negatively on cardholders. However, as with any account closure, changes to credit utilization may affect a person's credit score.

  • Monthly statements & payments: Cardholders are still responsible for paying off any remaining balance under their existing cardholder agreement. They will continue to receive monthly statements and can make payments through the website but no longer the AMC Entertainment Visa Card App.

  • AMC Stubs points posting: Please rest assured: any AMC Stubs® points and rewards earned through card purchases will remain in AMC Stubs accounts and can be redeemed as usual, in accordance with the AMC Stubs terms and conditions. All final AMC Stubs points earned from card purchases will be added to cardholder account within one week from the last purchase date.

  • Points Expiration: Insider Member’s earned points will expire after a period of 12 consecutive calendar months without a qualifying AMC theatres transaction. If you keep earning points, you keep extending the date! Points will not expire for members retaining A-List, Premiere or Premiere GO! tier status.

  • Bonus Bucks offer: Look for an email from AMC Theatres on August 27, 2025 with details on Bonus Bucks award value. A-List and Premiere members can redeem AMC Stubs Bonus Bucks for tickets or concessions. Insiders can only redeem for concessions. Bonus Bucks will be delivered to the AMC Stubs member August 27, 2025 and will expire 90 days from issuance. Valid at AMC Theatres in USA only; no cash back or cash value.

  • Enrollment offers: $50 Bonus Bucks and Large Popcorn offers will discontinued and no longer awarded after 8/27/25.
