Lightyear - June 17, 2022
On June 17, longtime fans of the TOY STORY franchise and newcomers alike will get to strap in and take off to infinity and beyond with LIGHTYEAR, the Pixar Studios animated film telling the origin story of everyone’s favorite Space Ranger, Buzz Lightyear. The long-awaited feature won’t focus on the toy famously voiced by Tim Allen, but instead the astronaut whose daring adventures and heroics would go on to inspire the favorite fictional toy of 1995. Voiced by Chris Evans, the legendary Space Ranger will go on an epic adventure alongside some new recruits as they attempt to find their way back home through space and time.
This upcoming animated adventure, which was officially announced at the jam-packed 2020 Disney Investor Day meeting — alongside countless other movies, shows, and specials from the various studios under the corporate umbrella — has been the topic of conversation ever since. That fervor only grew with the release of each trailer and tidbit of information.
The LIGHTYEAR cast also includes Keke Palmer, James Brolin, Peter Sohn, Taika Waititi, and several other notable stars.

On July 15, PAWS OF FURY: THE LEGEND OF HANK will open in AMC Theatres nationwide and introduce families to the latest animated hero and cast of kooky characters. Inspired by old Japanese cinema and Mel Brooks’ 1974 western comedy, BLAZING SADDLES, the upcoming feature follows Hank, a down-on-his-luck yet brave beagle voiced by Michael Cera who has aspirations of becoming a respected and fearless samurai, which proves to be no easy task. But, with the help of Jimbo, a feline sensei voiced by Samuel L. Jackson, the aspiring warrior will learn all the necessary skills to protect his village from utter destruction at the paws of Ricky Gervais’ Ika Chu, a Somali cat with his mind set on world domination.
Other members of the PAWS OF FURY: THE LEGEND OF HANK voice cast include Michelle Yeoh, George Takei, Gabriel Iglesias, Djimon Hounsou, and Mel Brooks, who is set to play a British shorthair cat.
