Full Trailer For 'Mother!' Is Here

Seeing is believing. The full trailer for Darren Aronofsky's upcoming psychological-thriller, Mother!, has finally hit the web. And it has sent shockwaves of pure terror to every corner of social media. We knew it was going to be intense from the recent teaser, but we weren't ready for this!

Luring viewers in with a false sense of security, the trailer opens with Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem relaxing, admiring their lovely home. Out of the blue, a foreboding knock on the door: Ed Harris, charming and delightful, stumbles, seemingly helpless. Moments later, Michelle Pfeiffer as his baleful-looking wife, arrives. And then the real terror begins.

There's no mistaking this brand of horror; it has Aronofsky written all over it. The bleeding walls, the parade of ghoulish invaders, Jennifer Lawrence descending into pure madness, Michelle Pfeiffer stepping way out of her comfort zone, and even the mystery surrounding the ominous title for the film — it all sends chills down my spine. It seems Stephen King's It will have some equally terrorizing competition entering its second week at the box office.

Without giving any significant plot points away, a typical Aronofsky play, the trailer hits the viewer with one terrifying scene right after another. All the while, Jennifer Lawrence's character — who just can't even — struggles, along with all of us, to come to terms with whatever the hell is happening. As Bardem does a complete 180 and Pfeiffer becomes even more sinister with every glance, it becomes clear that the couple's life, as they know it, will never be the same again.

Mother!, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem, is currently slated to hit theaters on September 15, 2017.
