Robert Zucchini is passionate about the writings of Victor Hugo. In the evenings, he takes to the stage at a theater in Paris to share his admiration for these texts that have become classics of French literature. But this love gets shaken when he presents his vision to a group of actresses from another generation, and when his daughter Lisbeth comes back into his life after several years away.
