Sonya Blade

Sonya is one of the original seven Mortal Kombat Kontestants seeing her debut in the first game in 1992 and she’s been kicking butt ever since! Originally a member of a top U.S. Special forces unit, in the game, her team was hot on the trail of Kano's Black Dragon organization and Sonya followed them to an uncharted island where they were ambushed by Shang Tsung's personal army and she was forced to enter the Mortal Kombat tournament and face her ultimate foe! Subzero

One of the most important Kharacters in all of Mortal Kombat’s History, Sub Zero has taken many forms though out the games, but is infamous for the brutal murder of Scorpion’s family. The leader of Scorpion’s rival Klan the Lin Kuei, Sub Zero has the power to bend ice and Cold to his will. Scorpion

Jax

Jax’s first appearance didn’t come until Mortal Kombat II in1993. His real name is Major Jackson Briggs, the leader of the top US Special Forces unit, and an all-around bad ass. After receiving a distress signal from Lt. Sonya Blade, Jax embarks on a rescue mission. One that leads him into a ghastly world where he believes that Sonya is still alive. Raiden

Another one of the game’s original seven, Raiden serves as the protector of Earth Realm. Also known as the God of Thunder, Raiden is an overseer in the Tournament and is bound by the rules set forth by the other elder gods (“I must consult with the elder gods!”). Shang Tsung

A powerful, soul-stealing sorcerer, Shang Tsung is a celebrated villain of the series and serves as the host for the traditional Mortal Kombat tournament. A servant of outworld emperor Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung has no alliances but to himself and is the ongoing villain through out the games. Liu Kang

Champion of Earth Realm, Liu Kang is Earth’s greatest hope in the Mortal Kombat Tournament. Member of the White Lotus society, he is a master of Shaolin martial arts and can summon dragon fire to his will. Liu Kang is Mortal Kombat’s ultimate hero and a fierce adversary to the sorcerer Shang Tsung. Sworn Enemy: Shang Tsung Favorite Move: Bicycle Kick

Kung Lao

A former Shaolin Monk and a member of the White Lotus society, he is the last descendant of the Great Kung Lao who was defeated by Goro 500 years ago. Realizing the danger of the Outworld menace he joins Liu Kang in entering The Mortal Kombat Tournament. Known for his bladed hat, Kung Lao is one of the best warriors that Mortal Kombat has ever seen. Sworn Enemy: Goro Favorite Move: Whirlwind Spin

Mileena

Known for her signature tarkattan smile and the clone of Princess Katana. Meileena is Shao Kahn’s personal assassin. She was created in Outworld’s Lazarus pits to further Shao Kahn’s reign over the people of outworld, sometimes disguising herself as Katana, it is her sole responsibility to watch for her clone's suspected dissension and put a stop to it at any cost. Prince Goro

Goro became Grand Champion of the Mortal Kombat tournament after defeating the Great Kung Lao. For 500 years, he remained undefeated and helped Shang Tsung grow ever closer to achieving Shao Kahn's goal of domination over Earth Realm.
