DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE opens July 26

DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE marks the long-awaited MCU crossover that has been teased for over a decade, exciting old audiences and stirring up interest in younger ones. For some, this will be the first opportunity to see Deadpool in action on the big screen since DEADPOOL 2 was released in theatres six years ago. Look back at some of Wade Wilson’s most epic moments from the DEADPOOL franchise and gear up for the new film.

Wade’s Escape

Sugar, spice, and lots of pain – these are the ingredients for the weapon known as Deadpool. As far a debut battles go, this one has a lot going for it. Among the debris of a wrecked and flaming lab following the explosion of his containment chamber, a vengeful Wade Wilson emerges from the haze fist first.

It is during this fight that Deadpool first emerges, using his newly gained strength to throw his attacker across the room, then following that up with a fast onslaught of punches. Though he eventually loses this battle, he eventually emerges from the ashes the next morning ready to fight again for what he loves.

9 to 5

In the beginning of the sequel, Deadpool goes international to kick a** across the globe. From an elite high-rise bar in Hong Kong to a steamy bathhouse in Tokyo (another thing he has in common with Wolverine), Wade seems to have accepted his fate and works to, as he puts it, “take the hands off the guns of criminals”.

His methods include but are not limited to kicking, punching, shooting, slicing, dicing, stabbing, jabbing, and exotic dancing. Wade is excellent for not only his fighting skills, but his ability to get creative when he’s in a pinch.

No Brakes

It’s a good thing Deadpool got all that practice with his katanas abroad because he certainly needed it for this face-off against Cable. After teaming up with the X-Force in a time of emotional turmoil, Deadpool and Domino survive their parachuting venture and break into the transfer convoy to set Collins loose.

As Domino hops in the driver’s seat, Deadpool and Cable battle it off in the open-air space of the truck, killing a mutant or two along the way. During this fight, Deadpool takes the opportunity to show off his skills in cutting bullets in half before wreaking absolute havoc. Meanwhile, Collins is busy acquainting himself with a Juggernaut of an ally.

We can only vaguely guess what DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE has in store for audiences, but the trailer did confirm that once the two anti-heroes do finally cross paths and team up against the bad guys, the Time Variance Authority gets involved and scrambles up the whole cinematic universe. Don’t worry if you haven’t learned the ins and outs of the TVA from Loki – once you see it, you’ll get it.
