Welcome to the magical and enchanting story of ENCANTO, the tale of the extraordinary family, the Madrigals. The Madrigals live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house and in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto.

The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift except for one child, Mirabel. Within this wondrous and charmed place, Mirabel discovers that the magic surrounding Encanto is in danger, and that the only ordinary person in the entire land, might just be her exceptional family’s last hope.

Vibrant Animation

The wonderful world of Encanto is brought to life with beautiful animation that captures the vibrant colors of landscapes that are infused with magical possibility. With the Madrigal family count being that of more than a dozen, Disney uses color to help differentiate the smaller family units within the large extended family. Every detail comes together on the big screen, including everything from a character’s height and body shape to their hair color and costumes that appear as if someone embroidered them by hand.

Magical Possibilities

The story of ENCANTO is based on the importance of family and a theme of working together, but also the importance of being yourself and not settling on expectations set from others. Mirabel must overcome her perception of being ordinary amongst her gifted siblings and follow her heart to realize her full potential and find her place within this family.
