Bizarre New Deadpool 2 Trailer

November 29th, 2017Bizarre New Deadpool 2 Trailer

One of the most beloved films of 2016 was Deadpool. The movie about the foul mouthed Marvel antihero stole audiences' hearts with its quirky charm, and now the first teaser has been dropped for Deadpool's eagerly anticipated sequel.

The hilarious two minute teaser sees everyone's favorite antihero painting on a canvas as part of an art show titled "Wet on Wet". While the video seems like a fun Bob Ross-inspired bit, towards the end things finally pick up pace with some action packed scenes from Deadpool 2.

So who's in it? Well, we see Cable drawing out a gun, Vanessa looking very much in love with Wade, and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (sporting a new hairdo) alongside various other supporting characters from the first film. We also see Zazie Beetz looking badass as Domino. Fox also released an official synopsis for this “Wet on Wet” teaser:

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

This synopsis is characteristically tongue-in-cheek and farcical, giving absolutely nothing away about the film while dropping a pop culture reference that the first movie became famous for. So why is Wade searching for the fictional time machine from Back To The Future? And will he ever get that coffee mug? We'll just have to wait until next year to find out.

The sequel stars Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggams, Stefan Kapicic, and Karan Soni and is expected to hit in theaters on June 1, 2018.
