Award-Winning Director

Bringing the world of ETERNALS to life is Academy-Award winning director Chloé Zhao who fully embraced the expansive storytelling capabilities of IMAX. In an exclusive interview with AMC, Zhao shared to prep for the IMAX re-mastering of ETERNALS, she met with director Denis Villeneuve who treated her to an IMAX showing of DUNE. Zhao explained after this experience, along with re-watching Christopher Nolan’s INTERSTELLAR in IMAX, “the change of aspect ratio to give an experiential experience for the audience that’s so tied to storytelling - you can’t experience that anywhere other than IMAX, so I tried to follow that as best as I could for ETERNALS”. If DUNE and INTERSTELLAR are any indication, you are in for a treat and will get to completely immerse yourself in Zhao’s visionary epic when experiencing it in IMAX.
