Justice League hits theaters in just a couple of months. Fans are ready to see their favorite DC heroes unite as a team on the big screen for the first time ever. Keeping interest high, Warner Bros. has dropped an official look at Barry Allen standing in his lab, a location in the film that is also being referred to as the "Flash Cave." The picture includes many Easter Eggs that have fans scanning their computer screens for every tiny detail.
Welcome To Barry Allen's Lab, Which Is Full Of Crazy Details
As you can see in the picture above, the production team behind Justice League went all out with the detail for Barry Allen's lab. The high-tech desk gives us a good indication of what we should expect from the film's version of The Flash and what his interests are. Since there are so many things to take in at once, let's break down the most fun and most intriguing things I have spotted so far.
Monitoring His Flash Suit
First off, we can see The Flash's suit being monitored on multiple screens. It appears that Barry is designing and testing out his homemade suit, which he will be wearing throughout most of, if not the entire film. This is a neat aspect because it shows how much detail Barry is putting into this project and truly exhibits how smart he is. It also indicates to us that Barry may be at the beginning of his journey as a superhero and may have recently acquired his powers, so he's figuring out how to best work as a superhero.
Barry Watches 'Rick and Morty'
I think we can all agree that one of the best bits in the photo is the fact that Barry is watching Rickand Morty on one of his computer monitors. It certainly demonstrates that he is a nerd just like the rest of us, and there's no better way to get that out there than having him watch one of pop culture's most popular cartoons.
Nikola Tesla
Another fantastic detail is a printed photo of Nikola Tesla taped onto one of the boards. The famous physicist is best known for creating the design of the modern alternating current electricity supply system. This is a scientist that The Flash would want to follow, considering his superpowers. Also, it shows how much of a geek Barry really is!
The Bird
One of the more peculiar things is a sketch of a bird placed in the middle of his scientific scribbles. This could be a sketch of the American Robin, which would be a huge reference to Batman's sidekick (which may even be a conversation starter when Bruce Wayne enters his lab). However, this bird has a longer beak, which makes me think it's more of a raven or even a crow. What is its purpose there? There's definitely more than meets the eye with this sketch.
Speed Monitor
As you can see in the red LED lights, Barry is tracking his speed on this screen along with multiple others. The number 236 is very visible and it could be alluding to Justice League #236, which is the conclusion to the four-part Rebirth series that featured powerful DC Comics villain The Overmaster. Whether or not we will see the character show up in the movies, this is a cool reference nonetheless.
Barry Is Testing Fingerprints
Lastly, in the top left of this particular photo, we see that Barry is analyzing fingerprints on his computer. Not only does this photo confirm that Barry is a scientist, it also shows us that he’s a crime scene investigator just like he is in the comics and in The Flash TV show. All in all, it looks like this version of Barry might be a lot more comic book-accurate than we originally thought.
